| . For me, Gad Elmaleh is the best of the current French stand-ups. His humour is funny, intelligent and creative. It's also international - born Franco-Moroccan, he spent some time in Canada, and works in the States. M6 screened his spectacle L'autre c'est moi | From a charity show, here is an unusual sketch from Pierre Palmade, one of France's most inventive comedians. | Here is a bubbly little blonde, Christelle Chollet, who specialises in the imitation of Edith Piaf - and even in the style of Claude François ! She made me laugh a lot. | Michel Bougenah is a very talented comedian, who gets very excited on stage. His voice is fairly clear, but the delivery is rapid. Gives the ear a good work-out. |

| Here are two little pieces from Bourvil. His Causerie antialcoolique and a song C'est le piston. A very sweet man, Bourvil. | The occasional series Les stars du rire often finishes by introducing a young comic. Here is Ben, who has a rapid, but very clear delivery - ideal as a listening exercise. Oh, and he's also very funny. | A year ago, in 2010, France Télévision screened Le grand restaurant of Pierre Palmade, and you will have seen the clips above. April 2011, and we have Le grand restaurant II. France has no end of fine stand-up comics, but Palmade is that rarity, an excellent comic writer. | Too hard ! This is the end of the comedy sketches whose transcriptions I've been able to improve. There will be one more page of the really difficult ones that still defeat me. One day... |
