125 Comedy Sketches
Here are the comedy sketches from the original archive, revisited and revised. Some of them were transcribed originally three years ago, and I was glad to correct some very embarrassing mistakes - such as the Anne Roumanoff sketch where I rendered mettre la viande sous cellophane as mettre la viande sucer les femmes....
In addition I've added subtitles. Right-click on the top half of the picture to download the video .avi file, and on the bottom half to download the .srt subtitle file. Put them both in the same directory. Note that Windows Media Player (astonishingly) won't play external subtitle files, but ALPlay will, and so will GOMPlayer.
In addition I am offering the transcription as a text file rather a Word document. Click (or right-click to download) on the highlighted title of the sketch
I am working through these, replacing AVI with Flash video.
Download just as before
In addition, if you see Flash, you can click on it to see the video
in your browser

Here is Fernand Raynaud, the great comic of the Trente Glorieuses with a sketch called Le fromage de Hollande Flash |
From the sixties to the present with a sketch called Le Noir from Muriel Robin. One of my favorites. Flash | Coluche's accent - working-class Paris - makes his sketches very difficult to follow. This one isn't too bad though. Mon papa est balaise. Flash | And a real classic from my favourite, Fernand Raynaud. Le Douanier Flash |

| Chevallier et Laspalès,
L'agence de voyage.
British Rail Enquiries isn't like this ... ho no.. Flash |
Jean Yanne and Paul Mercey with a wonderful sketch called Les forçats de la nuit (or Les routiers) Flash | Here is part of one of Anne Roumanoff's excellent Radio Bistrot sketches. A rather drunk lady who shares her wisdom on the world with her audience. The slurring delivery makes this quite a challenge. Flash | I like this guy, Popeck. An act in the real music hall tradition La leçon de francais. Flash |
